HPSC TerrSys Fall School

This year's Fall School of the Competence Centre High-Performance Scientific Computing in Terrestrial Systems (HPSC TerrSys) on the topic of Terrestrial Modelling and High-Performance Scientific Computing took place at the University of Bonn from 18 to 22 September.

Around 25 Master and PhD students as well as postdocs were introduced to the theoretical and technical background of HPSC environments using stand-alone and coupled surface and atmospheric models in this application-oriented course.

Highlights of the seminar included the presentations by the external speakers Rosie Fischer (CICERO), Nils Wedi (ECMWF) and Lars Nerger (AWI).

The course was organised by the Geoverbund ABC/J and the Sonderforschungsbereich CRC1502-DETECT.
